We went here for the second time at the weekend, as a large family group with young children. The food is really good and reasonably priced. The beers are well kept. And possibly most importantly the staff are super friendly and helpful. They're great with kids, patient, and considerate. I can't wait to go again!

What an excellent place to stay! The owner is an excellent host and made me feel really welcome and looked after. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were all delicious, and the bedroom was wonderful: all the mod cons, very comfortable, heating controls and the most wonderful shower which I could have stood in all day, with wonderful complimentary toiletries! Couldnt fault it, and would give more stars if I could!
Friendly helpful staff. Nicely refurbished. Great food and lovely rooms. Its off the beaten track but better for it.
Gastropub food (and prices) but good food, and friendly service. Lovely surroundings and excellent garden. The coffee shop in the same complex is excellent with home cooked pastries and light meals from the pub/hotel kitchen. Opens onto a lovely courtyard garden to sit out in fine weather.The whole complex is an unexpected and comforting refuge in this quite remote village.
