This was the second time we had been here and yet again the food and service were amazing! Can't wait to go back!
Recently had lunch here. Meal was very good and certainly not cheap, but the service in the bar was so slow despite it being a Tuesday and very near the end of lunch service (only 6 people at tables). Oh yes, there were staff around, not overly busy, but pretty poor in acknowledging my presence.....
A dog friendly pub offering a good pint and range of lunches. Staff opened up another room to provide a few more tables over a popular lunchtime.
Great pub in a fantastic location. Close to the station and only a short walk from Kintbury. Parking in front and over the canal from the pub. Nice walks in either direction. Warm and cosy in the winter and a lovely garden to enjoy the summer in. Always made to feel very welcome whenever we visit.Refurbishment has taken away some of the charm - especially the library which was one of the best points especially in the winter.
Lovely pub near the river. I booked a room over a Tuesday evening. I stayed in a river room which has a view on the river. The bedroom was very large, nicely decorated and The bed very comfortable. The food was delicious as well. Highly recommended
